Samsung Infuse 4G Smartphone-just coming

Noah Kravitz of TechnoBuffalo and I are happy to bring this new episode of Good to Go, a weekly video show covering hot mobile tech topics of the day. In this episode Noah and I talk about the newly announced Samsung Infuse 4G smartphone with its enormous 4.5-inch screen, followed by a lively discussion of the merits and concerns about the rumors that Apple is considering offering OTA updates to iOS devices.

The Infuse has AT&T's fastest Internet speeds yet, but it's not quite the fastest smartphone AT&T has to offer; with a single-core, 1.2-Ghz Samsung processor, it's a bit slower than the dual-core Motorola Atrix. It's still faster than most of the other smartphones on the market, though.Besides having a Super AMOLED Plus display, the screen size of this phone is 4.5-inches, which ultimately is an attraction for many geeks. So, it is a phone which could actually be an attraction to both boys and girls

Features of AT&T,Samsung 4G Smartphone:
The Samsung Infuse 4G will be the thinnest 4G smartphone available in the U.S. and will feature the largest screen — at 4.5 inches — in AT&T’s smartphone lineup, and the largest touch screen on any Samsung phone. Powered by a 1.2 GHz application processor and running the Android 2.2 platform, the device delivers a brilliant display using Samsung’s next-generation Super AMOLED™ Plus technology which features 50 percent more sub-pixels for better contrast. The display also offers unmatched outdoor viewing quality, even in the brightest sunlight.

With the Infuse 4G, Samsung and AT&T are raising the stakes on pre-loaded content that is not available on any other device. In collaboration with Rovio, the Infuse 4G will feature a special edition of Angry Birds pre-loaded on the smartphone. Players can unlock a special “Golden Egg” level of the game, and once the special level is completed, users can register to win Samsung prizes exclusive to Infuse 4G users.**

The smartphone also includes an 8-megapixel camera/camcorder with auto-focus and flash that shoots HD video with incredible detail. A front facing camera is perfect for self portraits or video chat. Customers can also watch hit movies and TV shows from preloaded apps like Samsung Media Hub, U-verse Mobile and U-verse Live TV.

Why Samsung Infuse 4G :
The first 500,000 phones sold will come with a $25 credit towards Samsung's Media Hub movie store. The phone also streams video from AT&T's U-Verse TV, along with other Android-powered media apps.

At $199, the Infuse costs $100 more than the HTC Inspire 4G, another big-screen Android phone, but the Infuse has both a faster processor and faster Internet than the Inspire. The Motorola Atrix also costs $199 and offers a faster processor, but it also can't match the Infuse's modem speeds.

Other features:
The common features showcased in both smartphones are SMS threaded view, MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM, HTML browser, A-GPS support, Java via third party applications, digital compass, organizer, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Picasa integration, SNS integration, Google Talk, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, voice memo-dial-commands and predictive text input.

Anyone rushing to get this device in the middle of the month? If you need a little incentive, it will also come packed with an exclusive version of Angry Birds.
