At the beginning of January, we wondered what Air Jordan 11 Retro would return seeing that the past two years featured the black/red-white Air Jordan 11s and the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11s, respectively (see our 10 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2010). Now, it seems we may have been unknowingly foreshadowing something great!
Itsshoestime has confirmed that the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cool Grey” will officially return during the holiday season of 2010. Specifically, it is scheduled to hit retailers some time in November. If you recall, we have not seen this sneaker since it first released in 2001 for $125. You saw the hoopla that surrounded the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11s. Imagine what will happen when this classic drops. Is this the best Air Jordan 11 colorway ever? Better yet, where does this particular sneaker rank among all of the Jordans ever created?
The Cool Grey Air Jordan 11 release is almost here. Are you ready? As you know, the Cool Grey Jordan 11 officially drops on December 23rd. Seen above is the entire Cool Grey family. While many Michael Jordon fans remember him wearing a pair of OG Air Jordan 1s during his final game as a Bull against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, during the same game Jordan also wore a pair of Cool Greys. The latest Cool Grey line is based on those shoes. The shoes will be priced from $40 to $175, depending on style and size.
Footlocker is planning extra security during their planned midnight sale of the shoe following incidents of looting at some locations during a similar shoe release last year.
