Kosovo government says report on Thaci defamatory

Kosovo's government on Tuesday described as baseless and defamatory a Council of Europe draft report which said Prime Minister Hashim Thaci had headed a mafia-style organised crime ring in the late 1990s.
"The government of Kosovo and Prime Minister Hashim Thaci will undertake all the necessary steps and actions to dismiss the slanders of Dick Marty, including legal and political means," the government said in a statement.
Marty is the rapporteur for the Council of Europe's committee on legal affairs and human rights, which produced the report
