Mary Harvey is an American soccer goalkeeper. She was the starting goalie for 1991U.S. Women's National Team which won the inaugural 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup; and a member of the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal team. Harvey retired from international competition in 1996 following the Atlanta Olympics.

Off the field, Harvey served on U.S. Soccer's Board of Directors for 12 years, including 5 years on the Executive Committee; and on the U.S. Olympic Committee. In 2003, Harvey was hired by FIFA to become its Director of Development, becoming the first woman and first American hired by the international governing body to run a division. In this role, Harvey was responsible for managing the USD 160 million per year development budget for FIFA, including such programs as the Financial Assistance Program, the Goal Programme, and FIFA's education or course programs. She was also responsible for FIFA's activities to develop women's football, futsal and beach soccer, and to oversee FIFA's sports medicine activities. Prior to joining FIFA, Harvey was the CEO of a USD 15 million sports and fitness company, and worked in the management consulting industry for both Deloitte. and Accenture.
Member of the U.S. gold-medal team in Atlanta in 1996 as the backup goalkeeper...as a freshman at Cal in '83, Harvey was a starter on Cal team that finished fifth in the NCAA Tournament. Led team to three additional NCAA playoff appearances. In 1984, was named the NCAA All-Tournament goalkeeper. Selected to the All-West team in 1985. In 1986 was the National Goalkeeper of the year. Has a total of 27 "caps" for U.S. national team appearances during her career (beginning in 1989 at age of 24) and has maintained a 0.65 goals-against average as a national team goalie...played semi-professional soccer in Frankfurt, Germany in 1989 and '90...member of the '86 Gold Medal winning Olympic Festival women's soccer team...In 1991, Harvey was the starting goalkeeper on championship Women's World Cup U.S. National Team...has four individual record highs at Cal: career saves (156 from 1983-86), saves in a game (12 vs. No. Carolina 11/1/84), season saves (71 in 1986), and shutouts in a season (9 in 1984) and is the former leader in shutouts with 20...graduated from Cal in 1986.
