January 11 Khoury was returning from school and he was arrested by seven teenagers, who were then subjected to a violent attack that lasted about 30 minutes.
Part of the incident was filmed by one of the attackers, who were then transferred to YouTube, showing the incident shocking to anyone who cared to see. Police say the assailants taped the incident on their cell phones, KYW reports.Upper Darby Township Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says the students were arrested Monday for the assault that happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Jan. 11.The Delaware County Daily Times reports officers arrived at Upper Darby HighSchool early Monday. Chitwood says the students arrested are ages 16 and 17.Police said after the incident, Khoury , who attends the community's Beverly Hills Middle School, went home and 911 was called, reported KYW.Chitwood says the bullied student did not suffer serious physical injuries, but did suffer "extreme mental anguish."
Khoury, said that bullying began with words, before it was physical. “He used to come and intelligent things to say, they call me names, go to your friends and fun to do,” said.Nadin has been praised for his bravery in a situation that happens to other people, too scared to speak out. Nadin's message is to encourage othersto stop the bullying by stepping in.
